Your Library Card

Your Library card is the key to all our services. One Card, Many Libraries is a service which allows library patrons from Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tioga and Tompkins counties to borrow materials from any of the 33 member libraries in the Finger Lakes Library System using the library card obtained in their local library.

You can acquire a library card at the Hazard Library or online Library Card Registration

Your  library card can be used to check out books, DVDs, CDs, audio recordings, video games and more. You can also use the information on your library card to access your library account on-line.

Our collection is augmented through the Interlibrary Loan provided by the Finger Lakes Library System. The entire catalog is available on-line and includes many special items in addition to books. By using the Finger Lakes and WorldCat systems, materials can be obtained from other libraries. Items reserved from other libraries will be held for you at the Hazard Library when they arrive.

We have a collection of Large Type Books and other special services are available to people with physical limitations such as of sight, hearing, or mobility that interfere with their use of our facilities. One example of these services is the “Talking Book and Braille Library” program. Let us know about your situation and, if we don’t have a solution on our premises, we will put you in touch with someone that can help.

Your library card also provides you with access to electronic content and databases available through the Finger Lakes Library System.
